Relocating candidates and logistics applications in Germany
Recruiters want to know when you can start on site. Put a clear availability line in your cover letter: the earliest week you can be in the city, and whether you already have housing underway. Vague phrases about 'open to relocating soon' create follow-up work they may skip.
Explain foreign job titles in plain operational language. If your previous role mixed goods receipt and inventory counts, say so. German logistics postings often separate those duties; showing both helps the reader place you.
Address work authorisation only with facts you are comfortable sharing and that the employer has asked for. Application support is not legal advice; for visa questions, speak with a qualified adviser. What we help with is making the employment history easy to read.
Choose a short target region rather than applying nationwide in the first fortnight. A focused set of applications to hubs you can actually reach — Berlin, Hamburg, the Ruhr — usually produces clearer conversations than a scatter of remote-looking CVs.
Keep a simple tracker: employer, role, date sent, and what you tailored. When a recruiter calls, you should be able to recall the site type and shift pattern without scrambling through email.
